The Studio
Re.colored lives at the intersection of art, fashion, and sustainability. I design and make every piece myself in my studio, focusing on craftsmanship, experimentation, and long-lasting design rather than mass production.
The Process

1. Plastic bag Collection
Discarded plastic bags are collected and carefully sorted by type, thickness, and color to prepare them for transformation.

2. Washing & Drying
The plastic bags are thoroughly washed and air-dried to clean the material while preserving its original texture and character.

3. Material Transformation
The cleaned plastic is layered and heat-treated to create a very strong, flexible sheet material with unique surface qualities.

4. Collage & Surface Composition
I compose each surface one at a time, cutting and layering pieces like a collage or painting so no two bags are ever the same.

5. Bag Production
I cut the finished surfaces into patterns,
sew and reinforce each piece by hand, carefully balancing durability, function, and form.

7. Final Product
The result is a fully functional, one-of-one bag that carries its own material history and story.
